I recently had a fabulous weekend getaway to Philly with my girls Wendan and Sashana (seriously, you need to check out their instagrams!). Everyone knows that a huge part of having a successful girls weekend is being able to stay at a great hotel where you can completely relax and feel at home. The Sonesta was at the perfect oasis located right in the center of the City of Brotherly Love.

The first thing I noticed upon walking into the Sonesta Hotel was their impressive interior decor. It was filled with vivid pops of red in the artwork and the ceiling chandeliers. I felt like I was in the middle of one the most trendy art galleries in Philly.

A nice surprise was that The Sonesta graciously hooked us up with a beautiful suite that had a spectacular view of the City Hall. Aside from the view, the suite had a large king size bed, a separate lounge area with a pull out couch, two HD TV’s, and plenty of space to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine with my girls!

Another feature of the The Sonesta Philly that I think is a gold star amenity is their outdoor pool area that includes large cabanas and poolside room service! Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the season so we weren’t able to experience it, but it’s definitely worth coming back to visit for in the Summer time!

The location was everything! The Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square is conveniently located in Center City, just blocks from Rittenhouse Square and a short walk from amazing attractions, museums, historic landmarks, fine dining, shopping and everything the Philly has to offer. If you’re driving, the Sonesta does partner with the parking garage next to the hotel for one unlimited (in and out) flat rate of $45 on weekends and $49 on weekdays.

Before heading out for the night, we made our way down to the hotel’s ArtBar (located right across from the lobby) for cocktail hour! We opted out on ordering some small bites including the butternut squash & apple bruschetta, sweet potato gnocchi and some tenderloin steak. My personal favorite was the sweet potato gnocchi! To compliment our appetizers, we ordered the Philly Mule (ArtBar’s twist on Moscow Mule) and a fruity spritz like cocktail. As we toasted to our weekend in Philly, I couldn’t help but to feel overwhelmed by the cozy and super trendy ambiance of this luxurious hotel. I felt extremely welcomed from the moment I walked and didn’t want to leave!

Side note: If you book your stay during the Summer, you can order poolside drinks and food at the rooftop pool right from the ArtBar. How amazing does that sound? I personally LOVED the Philly Mule cocktail.
